The Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) has introduced the “EIG CONCERT-Japan” initiative, dedicating a substantial budget of €400,000 to enhance scientific collaboration between Japan and Cyprus. This initiative is designed to elevate the global reach of the ecosystem.
The program encourages joint R&D projects involving Japanese and European organizations, supported by the ‘European Initiatives – National Development’ program, with Cyprus engaging through the RIF. Projects are expected to focus on digital transformation and robotics in sustainable agriculture, covering fundamental and applied research, as well as experimental development.
Consortia based in Cyprus are eligible to receive funding of up to €100,000 per project. Qualified applicants include research institutions, companies, and other relevant bodies.
